Explanation: HOSTED doesn't seem completely wrong either, but for some reason it sounds to me like something more of a specific occasion (host a party, a meeting, etc.). On the other hand, accommodate / lodge (synonyms between themselves) convey the more specific meaning of "providing sb/a group of people with a place to sleep, stay or live (either for free or for pay)".
