It appears that linea modulada refers to a line that grows thicker and thinner over the course of a stroke. There are some hits for "modulated line" in English, but not many and not very convincing. Is there a term for this sort of line in English?

Humanist
'Lineales moduladas' is a typeface which is also called 'lineales humanísticas' which in English is 'humanistic' or 'humanist'. It's normally sans serif fonts but not always. Barradas' posters used both serif and sans serif.

: You've also noticed that 'linea modulada' doesn't appear in Wendy's text. And I would add a few words of explanation, as with 'roman', because people won't understand 'humanist'.
