Swedish term

Semrätt

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) SWEDISH PAY SLIP
In a Swedish pay slip, the columns (from left to right) read as follows:

Semrätt
Obetalda (Unpaid)
Betalda (Paid)
Foerskott (Advance)
Sparad (Saved -- Years 1 through 5).

I understand "rätt" as "right", of course, but what does "sem" (or "sem.") mean?

REA / Chicago, IL, USA

SafeTex Aug 4, 2020:
accrued vacation ??? I have my doubts about "accrued vacation". If you look at:

https://www.personalekonomi.se/artikel/semesterratt.aspx
you will see that it is much more a basic right of 25 days which is then used to make calculations. It is NOT an accrued right but a legal right, at least in the above document.

This is probably why the answer last time on Proz was different to "accrued vacation" and more in line with what I'm saying

disagree Tania McConaghy : See the ref posted by SafeTex in the discussion. In Sweden, the right to annual leave is not accrued however the right to paid annual leave is accrued.

Vacation entitlement

This is what the equivalent Norwegian term "ferierett" is in English, according to my dictionary.

Thank you.
neutral Adrian MM. : Admittedly the asker is in the US, but vacation - and despite Americo-centric dictionary entry, is an exclusively US Am. term vs. holiday elsewhere in the ENG-speaking world including Canada.
