Me he encontrado esta expresión un par de veces en un interrogatorio para un juicio y no acabo de encontrar una forma de traducirla que me convenza. Es un juicio de ámbito financiero y la traducción es para España.

When the person was speaking in financial terms "on the margin", I think Pat's interpretation of "one the one hand" is a good possibility and non-committal (vague), much like the original phrase.
