inglés term

broad sell ladder

inglés al español Negocios/Finanzas Finanzas (general) On the margin
Me he encontrado esta expresión en un interrogatorio para un juicio y no entiendo muy bien lo que quiere decir. Es un juicio de ámbito financiero y la traducción es para España.

"A. Okay. I remember it always being painful with XXX, and he never wanted to pay what was our standard fee scale at the time.

Ultimately when we got into those discussions, we tried to make it fairly broad, because as a matter of practice when we get engaged with a company that is potentially going to sell itself and there were active discussions with one party, we try to have an engagement tied to solely that one party, because try as everybody might, these things tend to leak out and oftentimes a board of directors will want us to call other folks. So we want to make sure we're protected. And so I'm sure we can ***broad sell ladder***. So more than I can't - I mean, other than it being a painful, process, I can'I give
you a lot of clarity around that."

With John It could well be a mistake.
Taña Dalglish May 27, 2020:
@ César I agree with John - a possible error.
Equities have been a great investment for the past two years, and should remain so in the long term, but it may be time to sell speculative stocks that struggle to recover from ***broad sell-offs*** and buy some so-called defensive stocks. https://www.afr.com/markets/five-strategies-for-coping-with-...

Possible transcription error "ladder" might be "later", for example
