Spanish term or phrase: plumón
None of the dictionary definitions I am finding makes sense for this use of pulmón describing an activity at a children's craft center in Chile:

Allí Martina ha aprendido a fabricar, con los materiales más diversos, cosas útiles y fascinantes: un proyector desde una caja de zapatos, un plumón desde un envase de yogurt.

watercolor brush pen

Explanation:
From Linguée:

S: Un plumón es una herramienta de pintura común para niños. deli-stationery.es
E: A water color pen is a common paint tool for children. deli-stationery.org

See a watercolor brush pen at: https://www.amazon.com/OOKU-Watercolor-Brush-Pens-Piece/dp/B...

If you look for photos of "envase de yogurt" in Spanish, you will see that some of them are tall and narrow. I'm guessing that the author is suggesting that the paint goes inside the container and a hole is cut in the cap for the brush to stick through. That way, kids can write and draw without having to keep going back to the well for more paint.

agree  neilmac: You could conceivably create a (very) thick marker from a yogurt pot, perhaps for graffiti artists?

-> Con un bote de yogur de beber (versus un bote de yogur "clásico", de boca demasiado ancha) se pueden hacer. Es más habitual hacerlos con un bote de pegamento en barra vaciado, pero vaya, por poder... ;)

agree  philgoddard: The dictionary says felt-tip pen, but a marker is just a big one of these http://dictionary.reverso.net/spanish-english/plumón

down-filled quilt

Explanation:
As I note in my "discussion" entry, I seriously doubt this is referring to a "marker"...

It is rather a mattress or a down-filled quilt. A cushion, if you will...
