I'm translating a bank statement (more specifically about securities transactions - operaciones de valores, datos desinversión, datos adquisición etc.) and I'm struggling with the term "baja por canje" as seen below:

REFERENCIAS
AM - Amortización/devolución de capital
CB - Baja por canje
Vt - Venta de títulos
GP- Ganancia patrimonial

equity swap basis reduction

It can be the swap/exchange for any two equities. Stock/stock; stock/bonds; bonds/bonds.

The basis is reduced when there is not equal equity exchanged, the difference being paid in cash.
