I took another stab at this because I felt that none of the solutions put forward including my own captured this properly. How to render 'Gesamtschau' doesn't seem to be the biggest problem here but 'comprehensive' feels like an overworked adjective that makes the expression sound a little dull. By comparison, 'gewerkübergreifend' is a harder piece to translate, but the real difficulty. IMO, lies in rendering the relationship between 'übergreifend' and 'gesamt'...
