Italian term

titolo

Italian to English Other Insurance policy issuance
This is the context: "La creazione del titolo di seconda rata può avvenire tramite batch (quietanziamento) o manualmente generando il rispettivo record sulla tabella specifica"

Is titolo title here or does this refer to something else? Any ideas?

"Titolo" has many different translations, depending on the context. You haven't given the previous sentence, which might clarify why this document is being issued, but the fact that "quietanzamento" appears later in the sentence, and it refers to an instalment of some kind, indicates that "receipt" is a strong possibility.
Valerie Scaletta (asker) Nov 6, 2017:
if it is receipt, how come the terms "quietanzamento" and "titolo" come up separately in the document? Also, the proz.com glossary gives 'certificate' as a translation of 'titolo' in the insurance sector.

Info on application This is obviously a PC application - do you have any idea what it is called?

receipt

I think titolo here refers to a document and specifically to a receipt (quietanzamento)
