Deductible withholdings Explanation: I don't see why you don't like it, other than the fact that this type of bureaucratic language is somewhat less than inspiring is. But it refers to withholdings, and they are deductible. QED. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 mins (2017-04-08 09:38:49 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withholding_tax -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2017-04-08 09:39:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Funnily enough, it only gets twenty hits on my Google search... http://www.linguee.com/english-spanish/translation/deductibl... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 mins (2017-04-08 09:42:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And even curiouser, "deductible retentions" gets more than 1000. I think the question is more to do with by whom it is deductible (by the tax office from what the taxpayer must pay them, or by the taxpayer from what they have to pay the tax office,... etc etc)... But rather than open that particular can of worms, I'd just leave it as it is, ambiguity and all. |
