Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): Mario Freitas

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Non-PRO: _without_ the aid of a dictionary Right next to the radio button I selected, it is written: “Non-PRO - a question that can be answered by any bilingual person _without_ the aid of a dictionary.” This is what I am looking for. The _first_ definition given by Oxford, Merriam-Webster and even Google Translate is what I am looking for. It can be found in _every_ regular dictionary, even though that's _not_ a requirement. All I need is someone who understands the definition and can come up with a word or expression in Portuguese that fits that definition, even if he or she is not a bilingual person, as I already supplied a Portuguese definition in my question.
ronsmith (asker) Aug 9, 2016:
Non-pros Hi Mario,
I didn't just leave the default setting as "non-pro". I specifically selected the non-pro option, so this question would be non-pro even if the default was pro. If I had a "very basic question", I wouldn't need to ask anyone - pro or non-pro - I would sort it out myself.
