I lived for 6 years in Japan while attending to a graduate school and working part time. In 2002, I started working as a translator for a company located near the university and have been doing translations ever since. Back to Brazil, since 2010 I have been working full time as a translator.
I have been translating documents from Japanese into Portuguese in various areas, ranging from personal letters, survey questionnaires and websites to industrial machines manuals, contracts, financial statements and patents. I love technology and have great IT skills (including programming) and I would like to have more opportunities in software localization and software manuals translations (I can write them too).
I also have a M.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences and a lot of experience writing scientific papers both in Portuguese and English. Of course, I can read them in Japanese too, as well as in Spanish, French and Italian.
I am used to working for demanding clients on tight schedules. Feel free to contact me at any time. I am available on skype most of the day and sometimes all through the night, when I am working with people in Japan. Of course, I can adapt to your time zone, too, should your project demand constant interaction.
