I compiti dell’AGENTE includono l'incasso del prezzo di vendita esclusivamente tramite **titoli**, che dovranno essere intestati alla xxx e riportare la dicitura “non trasferibile”.
what is most likely meant here? The agent cannot withold any of these 'titoli', not even if xxx owes him or her, as specified in another article of the contract.
I was thinking of cheques but I suppose it could be notes of some kind (cambiali?). Is there a word to include them all?

: A problem with this. To say these are negotiable instruments (as cheques are generally considered to be) and to say it is non-transferable/non-negotiable in the same sentence would generate confusion. What about "financial instruments"?

Indeed. That's why I've added the brackets, but without prefixing 'otherwise negotiable'.//No - instruments-only. (Negotiable) is prefixed for ref. only to show what kind they are. Reg. securities, like stocks & shares, are one type of non-neg. instrs.

: A security is a bond or a share, a warrant or an option or a future or some kind of derivative. You can't possibily use any of these as payment for a purchase in everyday business. /clearly securities are titoli, but they are not assegni o cambiali.
