Spanish term

no conformes

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
reclamaciones, quejas, ***no conformes***, denuncias

Context is a company manual on procedures to ensure quality, section on customer service. No specific context to explain what the term means.

It appears to mean that customers are unhappy in some way with the product or service provided.

Help much appreciated.

Discussion

Marta Elizabeth Torres Dec 3, 2015:
Thanks for the article neilmac, I agree it would be dissatisfied instead of my post "unsatisfied". There is a difference between the two.
Peter Riccomini (asker) Dec 2, 2015:
My view now... I'm fairly convinced that Neil is right. Perhaps I misled Lisa when I said it related to products. I meant that the complaints etc were about products.
Peter Riccomini (asker) Dec 2, 2015:
Surrounding text There isn't much. It comes as part of a list of factors analysed when reviewing the quality system:

Aspectos significativos
No conformes
Reclamaciones, quejas y denuncias, y
Programas
philgoddard Dec 2, 2015:
Could we have the surrounding text, please, Peter?
neilmac Dec 2, 2015:
@phil Re: "the other items on the list are nouns". Ok, but it may be a case of ellipsis: "clientes (no-conformes)" (https://www.google.es/search?q="clientes no-conformes"&rlz=1...
neilmac Dec 2, 2015:
"Estar conforme" Means to agree to or accept (in this case the product). I think "no conformes" in the text refers to the customers' reactions rather than the product per se.
neilmac Dec 2, 2015:
NB: The customers will be dissatisfied if theproducts fail to meet (=conform to) their specifications. https://www.google.es/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=S9qfVb_rOauA8QfU5IHADg&g...
Peter Riccomini (asker) Dec 2, 2015:
@ Lisa Yes, it does.
Lisa McCarthy Dec 2, 2015:
@ Peter Do you know if this refers specifically to products?

agree Robert Carter : Given the context (customer-related quality issues), this seems most likely, i.e. customer dissatisfaction (and possibly returns of products that are not faulty, just not what customer expected/wanted).

It's a list of nouns, so 'disagreements' rather than dissatisfied customers.
