Spanish term

argentinismos

Spanish to English Art/Literary Linguistics regional variation
"argentinisms" won't work; quiero aclarar que estas expresiones son propias de quienes viven en las márgenes del estuario del Plata, ambos argentinos y uruguayos
The document is a glossary for English-speakers and Bilinguals (ENG/ESL) from various countries.

Discussion

Paul García (asker) Jul 9, 2015:
ambos paises Sí, propio de ambos paises...
Es una lástima que el adjetivo "rioplatense" no es ingles.
Wilsonn Perez Reyes Jul 4, 2015:
Lamentablemente, la pregunta de la consulta es engañosa (misleading). Según el contexto, lo que se busca no es argentinismos, sino uruguayismos/argentinismos o quizá español rioplatense.

argentinismo.

agree Jennifer Levey : There's surely no other valid option when Asker says: "las márgenes del estuario del Plata".

Thank you, James.
neutral Adolfo Fernández : it makes me doubt, because an argentinismo is not a kind of Spanish, but rather a particular word in that language.

I see your point, but you could say it is a "Rioplatense Spanish expression"
neutral Wilsonn Perez Reyes : Respuesta correcta para una pregunta engañosa.

I would also suggest argentinisms, as defined here: http://dictionary.reverso.net/spanish-english/argentinismo

but you said it doesn't work.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Wilsonn Perez Reyes : This is the technically good answer. Problem is, according to the context proposed by the asker, it is not.

you're right: it doesn't include uruguayans.
