XXXX having taken and subscribed the Constitutional Oath of Office as prescribed by law, was duly licensed and admitted to practice by this Court as an ''Attorney and Counselor at Law'' in all courts of the State of XXXX on the XXX 2014''.
Pensavo semplicemente di tradurlo '' avvocato ''.

It's basically the counterpart of your avvocato, but because it was spelt out with precision and pomp on this particular occasion, you probably want to keep the original title somewhere.

Back in time, attorneys and counsellors were two different professions or at least two different licences. That's no longer the case, but some jurisdictions in the USA retain long and grandiose titles in honour of the past. The meaning of attorney is basically 'plenipotentiary', which is not far from avvocato ('advocate' will actually be used in English in some contexts). Basically a professional lawyer admitted to the bar, only an old-fashioned ceremonial title.

: this is a kudoz where terms have to be translated when they have a matching term. You can't "leave it the way it is"//we solve problems if we give an answer based on knowledge of the Italian Language. I Believe it's a wrong answer therefore I disagree.

This is self-help/friendly assistance first of all, where we solve problems, not a dictionary. How about you unwind at a bar or something, instead?
