Hola Mile !!!
En 55 años he escuchado cosas raras, esta es una más.
Resfriador es un ente que provoca resfríos, y nadie quiere resfriarse.
Tu palabra casi con total certeza es de origen portugués. Las líneas de envasado de bebidas gasificadas tienen un enfriador para, valga la redundancia, enfriar el líquido antes de gasificarlo y envasarlo pues sino la presión provoca problemas y derrames en el momento de tapar el envase.
Es decir que si vas a la fábrica local de coca-cola verás que en la línea de producción las botellas están muy frías a pesar de que la temperatura ambiente sea alta.
En inglés se le diría "chiller".
