neutral  writeaway: so just forget about Gewicht??

-> light things are easier to carry than heavy things. :)

agree  philgoddard: This loses the wordplay, of course, but it would work for the second and third instances of the word.

agree  Eleanore Strauss: despite loss of word play, conveys the right message. Otherwise you would have to go with negatives (less burdensome etc)

agree  Dhananjay Rau: Yes, quite obvious

lighter (light) work

Explanation:
The English "lighter" actually does have the same dual meaning as German, but it's not readily apparent if the word is by itself. Hence this proposal. It's not very elegant, but it's all I have time for now - maybe you can play with it. I think it sounds better without the comparative.
So: "Light work with X Credit Card."

Just pay with your card. It’s the LIGHT thing to do. A card simply weighs less than coins.

Asker: Danke Johanna. Vielleicht scheidet sich da ja US von UK. Lighten up heisst für mich, sich eine Zigarette anzünden.

agree  Eleanore Strauss: Funny... I also thought of lighten up. But often this is used in a negative sense.

Explanation:
Just use your card. Lighter than cash, it’s not only easier to use but also fits more easily in your pocket.
