Law/Patents - Finance (general) / Bank serving as guarantor
Spanish term or phrase: P.P.
A certain bank based outside of Spain has a branch located in Madrid. The branch is to serve as guarantor for a certain corporation in connection with a rental property. The terms of this agreement are spelled out in detail in the document in question, and then at the bottom of the one page the following appears:

[Name of bank]
[Branch in Madrid]
_P.P._

Does the "P.P." stand for "por poder"? What would be the best way to translate this into English? Perhaps "By proxy"?

P.P.
Explanation:
As has been mentioned in the discussion area, this is short for 'Per Procurationem'. In the UK at least, many banks end letters to clients with P.P., so I am confident that you could use the same abbreviation, assuming that a name and signature follow in the original.

I can't find a real letter, but it is used in the same way as the second web reference I've given.
