Sto cercando di trovare un'unica traduzione del termine "scale factor" relativamente a due ambiti distinti: geometria e chimica. Il problema è che entrambi gli ambiti sono inclusi nello stesso articolo su cui sto lavorando, e che spiega come determinare lo "scale factor" in geometria e in chimica. Ora, riportando alla mente i miei anni scolastici sono riuscita a ad identificare lo scale factor (tra due figure geometriche) come "rapporto di similitudine", ma chimicamente parlando sono nell'oblìo più totale. Avete dei suggerimenti su come potrei rendere "scale factor" in italiano in modo da soddisfare sia l'ambito geometrico che quello chimico? L'articolo in questione è il seguente:

Ho pensato di tradurlo con "fattore di scala", ma credo venga utilizzato più in ambiti tecnici quali il disegno e l'ingegneria...
