I don't think there's much wrong with 'caress' itself, but more with the rest of the sentence; what a lot of hype!

For once in my life, I'm going to suggest changing a verb expression in FR into a noun one in EN, as I suspect it is going to be easier for you to compose around.

  -> Of course not, but this sort of text involves copywriting more than actual translation; anything more literal risks sounding really stilted. As ever, in such a subjective field, I really don't think a 'disagree' can be linguistically justified.

Explanation:
If you're not happy with caress, why don't you use the word 'gently'? After all, that is the image that 'caresser' conveys - something that is soft and gentle. The verb you use with 'gently' would, of course, depend on the overall aim of these cosmetics, but here are two ideas amongst many other possibilities….
