En las apreciaciones de los profesores aparece la frase siguiente:

Travail et progrès remarquables ce trimestre. Semble bien avoir re-trouvé sa place! Poursuivez ainsi.

No sé qué forma verbal utilizar para 'poursuivez ainsi', utilizar la forma formal 'siga así' me parece raro.

¿Estaría bien traducirlo como 'debe seguir así' en tercera persona.

En mi carnet de notas y en los que yo completé luego como profesora siempre usamos el verbo continuar y en imperativo.

Para responder tu pregunta: El tono que está usando el inspector es formal; ya sea que se esté dirigiendo a los profesores de ese estudiante, a los padres del estudiante o al estudiante directamente, les está hablando de "usted". No se dirige a ellos en forma impersonal ni en tercera persona. No creo que debas evitar la forma imperativa (continúe/n, siga/n), que no suena rara ni es inapropiada.

Creo que el inspector puede estar dirigiéndose a los profesores o a los padres porque dice "Semble bien avoir re-trouvé sa place!", hablando del estudiante en tercera persona y no dirigiéndose a él.

En mi opinión, la traducción sería "Prosigan así" ("Continúen así").
