Katharina Leipp (asker) Apr 15, 2013:

Caroline Folz-Jorgensen Apr 14, 2013:
yes, could we have more context, please? in a legal context "to pursue/protect/represent the interests of the party/ies" could fit, but it would help to have more context.
AllegroTrans Apr 14, 2013:

Representation

Know we know the context, I would use a heading that actually ties with what follows.

It's not about the party's interests, but about who represents them - standard stuff on contracts

Interest of the parties

Without a context, can't be sure.

Assertion of interest

In the absence of further interest, assertion of interest is what comes to (my) mind first.

Example from link below:

"Thus, in both of our cases, the court's [sic] ultimately ruled the agency's assertion of interest was legal, and it dismissed the two potential class actions."

Thanks for the update. I am inclined to change it like this:

Safeguarding company interests

"The contracting party is obliged to safeguard company interests (the interests of the Principal) with the due care and diligence of a prudent businessman"

This reflects the style and legal concerns of many German GTCs while still being good English
