English term or phrase: Publishable
Dear Colleagues,

I would like to know what is the correct adjective to be used for describing a PhD Thesis Abstract for being valid for publication. My Arabic - English colleagues suggested the following three options:

Publishable
Valid for publication
Worth Publishing

The PhD supervisor has to sign on the abstract saying that this abstract is "valid for publishing".. I would like to know what is the proper adjective that should be used in this context.

Thanks million times

agree  Tina Vonhof (X): I like 'approved', coming from a thesis supervisor. Publishable is also ok, meaning it can be published in its present form, no changes required.

agree  veratek: agree with "approved for publication" - definitly not "worthy of publication"

publishable
fit for publication

Explanation:
worthy of publication sounds good to me if what is required is a value judgement on the content. If it is in terms of observing a certain format or standard, perhaps 'fit for publishing' is a possibility?

I meant "fit for publication", as in my answer :)

"The doctoral dissertation work should make an original contribution to knowledge and should be reported in a manner fit for publication."
