peer agreement (net): +2day hospital/outpatient Explanation: Perhaps it is different in British English, but in American English "day care" would usually refer to a service that takes care of your child for you during the day, which this is obviously not. デイケア refers to a visit where the patient does not stay overnight - this can be at a clinic, hospital, nursing home, etc. The most direct translation would probably be "day hospital", but there is also "partial hospitalization", and even though "outpatient" is usually 外来, someone using a デイケア program/facility would technically be an outpatient as well. I think your best bet would be to choose the most appropriate term and work it into the sentence rather than trying to keep it in parentheses.
