(assess/check/monitor) distal neurovascular status Explanation: I think that they mean to say that nerve supply and blood flow to the leg must be checked. Checking the neurovascular status of the leg is essentially the same thing. In agreement with the definition of 'trofismo distal' you mentioned, Neurovascular Assessment is defined here http://www.flashcardexchange.com/cards/med-surg-exam-6-nurs-... as follows: Key Components of Neurovascular Assessment? (P.756) - Color – Pallor, Cyanosis, Redness, or Discoloration - Temperature, Pain, Movement - Sensation, Pulse (Pedal, Radial) - Strength and Equality of Hand Grip - Capillary Refill -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2012-06-07 15:01:31 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I just realized that the 'definition' I gave of neurovascular assessment is not a definition at all, but an exam question. If you do the following Google search: " Neurovascular Assessment" you'll get plenty of hits though, for example http://www.rch.org.au/emplibrary/mcpc/Neurovascular_Assessme... Example sentence(s):

distal trophic state Explanation: I am seeing lots of good resources for "trophic state" as the translation for "trofismo". Also trophicity but not as many, some of the latter appear to be from French researchers writing in English. |
