Zdrojový text zmiňuje chuť "vzadu na patře". To by mohlo odpovídat termínu "palate" (tj wine has such and such palate), ale moje reference sdružuje palate taste with mouth taste jako tutéž chuť, která odpovídá základní chuti v ústech.

Usually in wine reviews you see "finish" more often because "aftertaste" has a negative connotation. But aftertaste is the terminus technicus.
Dochuť vína (residual taste, after-taste) je soubor tónů chuti, které vystoupí až na závěr celkového chuťového vjemu a které jsou zjevně odlišné od vjemů počátečních. D. může být příjemná, neutrální i nepříjemná. Právě prvně v dochuti se objevuje jedna z nemocí vína – myšina.
