Greek to English Bus/Financial Law (general) Insurance

The adjective here puzzles me, the phrase crops up a lot in my document and I don't know how to render it. Here's just one example. (The ατύχημα does actually refer to a road traffic accident).

Οπως προανέφερα, από το ένδικο ατύχημα υπέστην σοβαρότατο τραυματισμό.
