The only thing I know is that the religious concept does not apply. These beads are some sort of bracelets to alliviate the stress.

Realmente não é um rosário de preocupações, visto que o propósito do Kombolói é para utilizar em momentos reflexão ou alívio de tensão em situações de stress. Kombolói é o nome original (etimologicamente, provém do grego "pensar") para worry beads, mas uma tradução mais literal (em português europeu) será algo como brinquedo de contas, visto que é REALMENTE um brinquedo com contas.
