Italian term

Fermo A Giorno

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
In a document with a list of different parts for doors and windows.

The definition I found on internet is:
Fermo a giorno:
Leva meccanica che disabilita la funzione di chiusura di un incontro elettrico (V) lasciando di fatto la serratura e la porta aperte.

I have seen this translated as "hold-open device", "dogging device", "latch retainer" and I am not sure which one (if any) is correct.
