Portuguese term or phrase: cabo de puxamento
Within the context of this translation I am having some doubts with correct technical term.
Are we talking about a mechanical or electrical thing here? ie. some sort of drive chain/cable, or an electrical power/input feed?
By the way they are talking about fittings for a conveyor belt here, I dont suppose they mean the belt itself?

O cabo de puxamento dever ser apoiado em suportes aparafusados à estrutura do transportador (longarina principal). O cabo de puxamento, molas de tensionamento e demais acessórios devem ser de materiais altamente resistentes à corrosão

A device for removing conveyor carriages from a conveyor-path region of an overhead conveyor in the event of an alarm, particularly in the region of a fire door. The overhead conveyor has a plurality of conveyor carriages received on a travel rail, a drivable pull line driven by a main drive for the conveyor carriages, and a plurality of drivers connected to the pull line, on each of which displaceable stop pawls are arranged. Within the conveyor-path region that is to remain clear, there is arranged in a fixed position a rail which acts upon the drivers as they pass the rail and in each case swings the stop pawl not in contact with the conveyor carriage into a non-driving position, so that upon the triggering of an alarm, although the overhead conveyor is stopped, a conveyor carriage present in the conveyor-path region can be moved out of conveyor-path region by an auxiliary drive which is also located in the conveyor-path region.

hauling (tow) cable

Explanation:
I see nothing in the context to suggest any electrical qualities. If it is attached to the "longarina principal", it sounds more like a cable for hauling or towing the transporter, or for it to tow something else.

You can buy them on Amazon! (see link)

And, of course, in China, where they are probably all manufactured:

emergency cable

Explanation:
I think we're talking about a mechanical thing here. I worked in a pulp mill which uses several conveyor belts systems. From the context you provided, I understood it is a cable to be installed alongside conveyor belts - as required by Brazilian technical norms - to be pulled (thus, cabo de puxamento) by operation workers in emergency situations. This cable is connected to electrical switches that will be activated when the cable is pulled and will turn off the conveyor belt operation (electrical motors).

Notes to answerer
Asker: If that is the function of the cable Nick, u are spot on, but I have some doubt it maybe some sort of Pull cord for an emerngency stop device of the conveyor belt. What puzzles me is a conveyor belt, as far as I know, does not have any sort of drive cable/traction cable, its runs by motors which drive rollers ???
