قانونيا عبارة "المعلومات التي لدي" توفر مخرجا قانونيا اذا ما تبين ان القرار خاطئ. فلو ظهرت معلومات جديدة تناقض المعلومات التي بني عليها القرار الاول استطيع ان اقول ان "المعلومات التي كانت متوفرة لدي في ذلك الوقت هي التي جعلتني اتخذ ذلك القرار. اما وقد ظهرت معلومات جديدة فاني اريد ان اغير قراري. و هذا مهم جدا اذ ان القرار لم يكن مبنيا على تكهنات او ظنون يتحمل مسؤوليتها صاحب القرار بل من يتحمل مسؤولية القرار هو من وفر لي تلك المعلومات سواء كانت تلك الجهة قانونية او قضائية او حكومية.
