Hello. This is from a list of laboratory apparatus and equipment purchased for the purpose of research into photovoltaic technology. Other items in the list include a Spectroradiometer, a Laboratory sunseeker and a pyrheliometer.
Could it be a quandrant electrometer? Seems strange though because surely that would be 'Electrometro'. Next in the list is "Carga Electrónica 4 cuadrantes".
Going into UK English.
Thanks for your help
Simon

Four quadrant power supply
I'm not sure if you've realised this but the title of your question doesn't match the text in your question.
I believe that the text to be translated is : Carga Electrónica 4 cuadrante
which would be Four quadrant power supply.
Here is an example of usage:
Four-quadrant power supply provides any-polarity voltage and current
Edited by Bill Travis
Jon Munson, Linear Technology, Milpitas, CA -- EDN, January 8, 2004
A conventional power supply operates only in the first quadrant; positive-voltage output and current are sourced to a load or, with a deliberately miswired output, statically in the third quadrant as a "minus" supply. The conventional supply cannot, however, operate in either the second quadrant as an adjustable load for a minus supply, for example, or the fourth quadrant as a discharge-testing a battery with a specific constant current

Note from asker:
Thanks for your help. Perhaps my question wasn't clear. The list includes both a Carga Electrónica 4 cuadrante and a Carga Electrónica 1 cuadrante |

4 quadrant electronic load
An electronic device that simulates an electrical load in all 4 quadrants (the quadrant term is too complicated to explain here - electrical engineers understand it)

: Indeed, this is not the place for a full explanation.

Spanish term (edited):
Carga Electrónica 1 cuadrante
Single-Quadrant Power Supply
Really not sure about this one, but it could be more akin to 'carga eléctrica'? (based on the google hits that is). 'Carga Electrónica 1 cuadrante' has one hit - this question!
Dunno, maybe some more knowledgeable folk will be able to offer something a bit more concrete...
