Its for a big chain of stores, and appears as a vocab list, I have no more context sorry. Pls see below thanks. I had thought of pérdida de stock, but that's what it actually says in the parenthesis and not sure if there is an actual equivalent of this word in Spanish. I don´t want to repeat myself. I'm not sure depreciation fits here. Thanks

Maybe there is a more elegant term for this in castellano, but it is unaccounted losses often, though not always caused by theft by staff - pérdidas por robo del personal .

agree  Andy Watkinson: Think you'll find the usual term is "merma" - as you say, stock mislaid, stock "mislaid by staff" etc..plus wrong but un checked deliveries etc.....
