god bless america 神は合衆国を祝福し給う or 神の祝福は合衆国のうえに Explanation: Hello babajaddi, Let me understand your question is English to Japanese language category, not in English to Latin. If so then you see my answer in "Target term". Also you asked their phonetic writing in Latin (I guess you mean Alphabetical form of these Japanese sentences.) So here it is: First sentence ---- Kami (God) wa Gasshukoku (United States of America) wo shukufuku shitamou (bless) . Second sentence --- Kami no shukufuku (God's blessing) ha (is) Gasshukoku no ue ni (upon the United States of America). Which sentence is better is up to the eyes of the beholder. Hope this answers your question. |

god bless america アメリカ合衆国に神の恩寵がありますように。 Or "ゴッド・ブレス・アメリカ" (Goddo buresu Amerika) o Explanation: It is a famous saying in American history and can be used "as is" with a Japanese katakana writing. Or, it can also be translated as: アメリカ合衆国に神の恩寵がありますように。 (This is written in Roman letters as: "Amerika Gasshukoku ni kami no onchou ga arimasu youni.") Here are the definitions in the English Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_Bless_America - "God Bless America" is an American patriotic song written by Irving Berlin in 1918 and revised by him in 1938, as sung by Kate Smith(becoming her signature song). - "God Bless America" takes the form of a prayer (intro lyrics "as we raise our voices, in a solemn prayer") for God's blessing and peace for the nation ("...stand beside her and guide her through the night..."). Here is the Japanese Wikipedia versioin transliterates the word as: "Goddo buresu Amerika" (God Bless America) http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ゴッド・ブレス・アメリカ ゴッド・ブレス・アメリカ 『ゴッド・ブレス・アメリカ』(英語 : God Bless America)は、アメリカ合衆国の作詞・作曲家アーヴィング・バーリンが1918年に作詞・作曲した曲。 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 hrs (2010-11-23 06:01:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- There are many websites that use the phrasing: Amerika Gasshukoku ni kami no onchou ga arimasu youni. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 16 hrs (2010-11-23 08:19:14 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi again. One more way of spelling "Amerika Gasshukoku ni kami no onchou ga arimasu youni" in Latin letters is: Amerika Gasshukoku ni kami no oncho ga arimasu yoni. ( I took out two u's as you can see by comparing the two sentences. Both ways of spelling are acceptable when converting Japanese into Latin letters.) |
