English term

ambient +5°C to 65°C

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
¡Hola!

Temperature of the unit can be set from ambient +5°C to 65°C.

Saludos.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

desde la temperature ambiente + 5º hasta 65º

An incubator is an enclosure equipped with a heating device which serves to maintain the temperature above the outside (ambient) temperature. A heater obviously cannot deliver a temperature below the ambient temperature (that would would require a cooler, or refrigeration unit).

It means the unit can maintain a temperature between 'ambient temperture plus 5º' (minimum) and 65º (maximum). Eg: if the ambient temperature is 25º, the incubator can maintain any temperature between 30º and 65º.

The minimum is no doubt higher than the ambient because of system hysteresis, and/or the minmum power (heat) genertated by the heater. The maximum (65º) will be governed by safety considerations.

¿o no?

neutral Jennifer Levey : It doesn't refer to ambient temp of operation, but the temperature it will maintain inside the incubator.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Jennifer Levey : But an incubator would never be designed to maintain a temperature of, say, 100º when the ambient temperature is 35º.

microbiological incubators could reach 65°C and even more up to 100°C (see Wikipedia incubators)

Keep the chemicals at an ambient temperature of 70°F.
the bright ambient light of the room
People shopped as ambient music played in the background.
