ok, ora che hai confermato nave da crociera sono più che certa si tratti del vano ascensore nella prima parte, e di vani/alloggiamenti/condotti nell'altra

Pensavo: che siano le casse della deriva, chiamate in questo modo (invece di centerboard trunks) perché comunque le derive contenute devono venire alzate?
Nel link di riferimento dovresti cercare "trunk".
