alimentati

This is the description of a park:
Il parco è attraversato da viali e caratterizzato da laghetti alimentati da piccoli ruscelli.
I know what this means but can't find the right translation for "alimentati" and yet I get the feeling it's going to be really simple.......
Thanks.

flowing into
I would invert it and say "streams flowing into small lakes" to sound a little more poetic rather than technical.

kept fresh
literalists may baulk at this, but I am assuming these laghetti as supposed to be quite nice, and the idea of water from little streams coming in to top them up and keep them fresh sounds suitable for what I again assume to be an essentially promotional type of text. HTH. I agree with Miriam's comment about not wanting to make the description sound technical.

nourished
...characterized by small lakes nourished by the tiny streams that flow into them
