Seconded is widely used but if it involves working abroad, many private companies refer to TEMPORARY/SHORT TERM ASSIGNMENTS, so the employee would be 'temporarily assigned to ....., for a period of 3-6 months or whatever. This is contrast to international assignments or long-term assignments, which in the sector where I worked, were of 24 months' duration.
