Bucksch has "seasonal layer" for this, but I am unsure that this is meant by the expression in this setting:

Auch im südöstlichen Randgebiet des Kreide-Beckens lagert die aus Ton, Mergel, Kalk und Siltstein bestehene ungegliederte Wechselfolge der jüngeren Ober-Kreide konkordant über Bildungen des Cenoman-Turon.."

Is it an intercalation like Wechsellagerung? or is there a different way to describe the temporal shift of Folge as opposed to the spatial in Wechsellagerung?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIAFAYH!!
