Spanish term
reepitalizante
Spanish to English
Medical
Cosmetics, Beauty
Hi guys and gals,
I can't seem to find the translation to this word in English. I would appreciate your help.
Context is regarding different properties of creams and its ingredients, in this case it is:
"Centella asiática: cicatrizante, antiinflamatorio y reepitalizante". By the way, I am using "cicatrizant" for cosmetics and I know that for medical texts it is ok, is it used in cosmetics too? I know scar cream is used but scar/scarring wouldn't fit here.
Thank you very much
Robert

Note from asker:
Thanks Rachel. it is a sampel catalogue with different products containing natural ingredients, such as Chamomile Calendula..... Then later on each of these ingredients' properties are "explained". I quote and unquote as it is just - "The ingredient: property, property, property" and so on for all ingredientsas in the context I have provided in the initial question. |
Plus I sense that these ingredients are expressed as simple words without constructing a sentence because it is also going to be part of a label. |
Actually it has just ocuured to me instead of cicatrizant just use healing as a property. |

Evans (X)
: yes, that covers it and it's best to avoid words such as cicatrizant in this type of text

This is a phrase commonly used in advertising copy for cosmetics. Whether the claim is true is another matter!
Example sentence:
Renew-Plus Night Lotion is a lightweight fluid that helps eliminate dead skin cells and encourages skin renewal
