Japanese term

風切り

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
風切り検証

This is the rest of the section:
3.実機適合性の検証

恒久仕様での実機適合性検証

風切り検証

it's talking about testing sunroofs that are fitted with a new specification of glass to adhere to newly introduced environmental regulations.

Wind noise

Usually called 風切り音、we need a little more context for the term. As it stands, this is an incomplete word.

Wind noise is caused by turbulent air motion, primarily over gaps in vehicle aerodynamics. Characterized by whistling and buffeting, a large part of modern automotive aerodynamics is focused on reducing drag, decreasing interior wind noise, and decreasing exterior noise emission.

vehicles with active aerodynamic elements, such as spoilers and airdams seek to produce turbulence (for downforce) and thus have noisier sound signatures.

The entire phrase would be "wind noise testing". that is, without further context I can only assume that it is wind noise testing, not durability or other type of test :)

counter-wind (testing)

"風切り" itself is running or flying against the wind. So, I guess "風切り検証" is a test running against the wind to verify the sunroof wouldn't be broken by the wind.

Wind roar verification

Of course, depending on what follows this, I would suggest wind roar verification presuming that the verification is about the loudness of the sound caused by wind at high speeds.
Hope this is of some help.

P.S. If 風切りis being measured in decibels, you can be sure they are talking about the wind roar that is caused by the sunroof inside the vehicle cabin. Please check if I am right in presuming this to be so.
Sunroofs are fun, but not so if they increase the noise level inside the vehicle. Please comment. Thanks.

Wind shear test

RV's, tractor trailers, etc can sometimes loose control during storms, high winds as a result of wind shear. Also wind shear is strong enough to deform automobile hoods and trunks. If this is a durability test, I believe "風切り検証" or "風切検証" is a wind shear test for sunroof glass. If the sunroof is attached with some sort of adhesive, this test would be even more important.
