In a text about the predictive value of two tests for development of bronchial asthma, they mention "niños con X basal negativo" (X is the name of a simple 'yes/no' test to measure the presence of airborne allergen antibodies).
Does this just mean "with a negative result", or is "basal" significant in some way?
