userei una delle due a seconda di quanto il contesto è colloquiale

il senso di 'throw something AT you' è una cosa che ti viene gettata così con forza/impeto/aggressività che non la puoi prendere e (quindi) la subisci

I throw the ball (down/up) on the table
I throw the ball at the table
I throw the ball to my friend

There's a really important distinction between these. The last one (to) indicates that it will be caught. It's sort of synonymous here with 'to pass to'. The middle one (at) indicates there is no chance of it being caught, and instead the subject is throwing perhaps because she is angry. This in turn is different from 'throwing on', which is sort of synonymous with 'putting the ball (down) on the table'

non mi viene in mente adesso alcun verbo italiano che renda concisamente la stessa idea, quindi penso che potresti usare (anche perché il senso pratico rispetto al testo è lo stesso) un'espressione che dia il senso dell'azione anche se semanticamente parlando non è esattamente la stessissima cosa :)

più formalmente (ma non andrebbe bene in tutti i contesti potresse essere 'di cui mi viene chiesto di rispondere')
