This refers to an entry in the registry of companies, and appears at the end of a certificate from the registrar, confirming the existence and validity of a company's registration:
"Firmo la presente, [...] debidamente selladas con el sello de este Registro, en [XX], a [XX] de Marzo de [XX], **una vez Diligenciado el Cierre del Diario**".

Could "diario" mean "Register book". In this case = "closure of the Register Book" or "closing of the entry in the Register Book". Though this might make sense, I have been unable to find any support for this, except:
