This is about a re-enactment of the Passion of Christ. The Spanish is not absolutely clear, but I believe the translation I need refers to the following DRAE definition: Cada uno de los sucesos más notables de la Pasión de Jesucristo.

It's much clearer with the context - the phrase is badly written, but continues with the explanation: "desde buscar la burra en la que Jesús hace su entrada triunfal el Domingo de Ramos, iniciando la Semana Santa de Sabanalarga y del mundo entero, hasta tener que plantar al día siguiente, un gran huerto de olivos en un punto retirado del templo principal, sitio al que por la noche llega quien personifica a Judas y le da el beso de la traición a la imagen de Jesús en el huerto de Getsemaní." You need to expand the idea of "buscar y armar".

Perhaps, Marsha, as you suggest, this might not refer to each and every step he took, but rather each of the significant milestones, or stages, along the way of the the Passion of Jesus Christ. Thus, maybe this refers to each "station" in Christ's ordeal.

: according to Joss' reference, it starts on Palm Sunday, earlier than the Stations of the Cross, so I'd suggest "to look for and set up each station/stage in Christ's Easter journey"

Deborah, that's an excellent point. On the basis of Joss's reference it does not appear to refer to the so-called "Stations of the Cross," but more generally, the stages/milestones all throughout Holy Week.
