Befragung

German Marketing Marketing / Market Research
"Nimmt" man eine Befragung, oder "macht" man eine Befragung? Was macht man mit einer Befragung?
Change log

Feb 24, 2009 13:49: Kim Metzger changed "Language pair" from "German to English" to "German"

Feb 24, 2009 14:49: Steffen Walter changed "Field (specific)" from "Advertising / Public Relations" to "Marketing / Market Research"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Anja C.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

JenKruger (asker) Feb 24, 2009:
language typically I translate from German to English, and I was unsure how to change the settings.....this time I need a suggestion the other way around, though.... thanks ;)
Yasutomo Kanazawa Feb 24, 2009:
Jen, wasn't the pair German to English before? That's why I entered a English definition.
JenKruger (asker) Feb 24, 2009:
clarification I need an answer in German. The context would be something like: "click here to take the survey" or more simply, a computer button that would simply say "take survey"
Jutta Wappel Feb 24, 2009:
Sorry, I wasn't clear on which language you're looking for!

durchführen bzw. teilnehmen

You haven't clarified WHO!
If you are the person doing the asking, it's "eine Befragung durchführen",
if you are answering, it's "an einer Befragung teilnehmen"

poll / survey

you take a poll, you undetake a survey ... for the purpose of ascertaining e.g. the opinion of consumers concerning a certain product etc.
Obviously, you then evaluate the result.
