Spanish term

bolsillos de plastón

Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Mod fashion
Nos adentramos en Barrio-caos, Olivia con sus ojos pintados y sus andares de fulana y yo con un McCloud abrazado a un traje marrón claro con bolsillos de plastón e histriónico forro naranja.

Olivia is the dog, by the way. This guy wears typical mod wear: woollen Italian cut suits, loafers, narrow trousers with slight flare....Think Vespas and Paul Weller.
I am not sure what material this is, although I may be being a bit dense.
UK English please.
Thanks in advance, and season´s greetings!

patch pockets

Which form you use depends on how you translated the sentence:

un traje marrón claro con bolsillos de plastón y

a light brown suit with patch pockets and ....
OR
a light brown patch-pocket suit with a...

Both are correct, but I think "with patch pockets and a histrionic orange lining" works best.

Are those pockets sewn onto the (for instance) jeans back. That is, a piece of usually the same cloth, with no "bag" inside )as carry those on the trousers sides).

That's what it is. Of course, the "hortera" version is for the pocket cloth being of a color CONTRASTING with the garment's.

And, guess what?. As for its name in English, "me, NPI". Hope that now that you know what it is, you will immediately get the English word in a moment, though.
Note from asker:
Thanks psicutrinius! It doesn´t matter that you have NPI on this one, as your explanation is perfect, and yes, it is likely therefore to be a patch pocket. Thanks very much. You have been a great help! :)
