Texto ampliado Al llegar el bautizo se oyó en la plaza vocerío de niños, como siempre. El padrino llevaba una bolsa de papel de la que sacaba puñados de peladillas y caramelos. Sabía que, de no hacerlo, los chicos recibirían el bautizo gritando a coro frases desairadas para el recién nacido, aludiendo a sus pañales y a si estaban secos o mojados.

No está muy claro si 'el llegar' del bautizo quiere decir que llegado el momento del bautizo, o que el bautizo, es decir, un grupo de personas que iban a bautizar, llegó...

Or
As the christening party approached the square, they could hear children shouting.
