boiled looks

English to Spanish Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Textures enliven fantasy, which imitates seersucker and plays on crepons and boiled looks.

La única cosa que se me ocurre con boiled es la "boiled wool" (lana cocida), aunque en este apartado en cuestión están hablando de prendas de punto.

metaphor

Some time ago it was a fashion in textiles the boiled tissues. It might be a metaphor which could indicate a kind of style. You could translate by Cocido.
On a google search there is not much result on boiled looks so it might be a metaphor.
Best of luck to you!
